Responsibilities
- Conduct security screening of passengers and carry-on baggage using advanced imaging technology and X-ray equipment.
- Inspect checked and carry-on luggage for prohibited items and potential threats to aviation security.
- Enforce security directives, regulations, and procedures strictly and professionally at all times.
- Identify, assess, and resolve security breaches or irregularities in a timely and decisive manner.
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers while maintaining a high level of situational awareness.
- Document findings accurately in security logs and databases.
- Assist in training new hires and maintaining a clean and organized screening area.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
- Must be able to pass a criminal history background check (including fingerprinting).
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Secret Security Clearance.
