Key Duties:
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo for explosives, weapons, and other prohibited items.
- Operate X-ray screening equipment and advanced imaging technology with high accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers while explaining security procedures.
- Perform physical pat-down searches and assist passengers with special needs or accessibility requirements.
- Identify and report any suspicious behavior or security anomalies immediately.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to all TSA security protocols and regulations.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship required (must pass a background check and medical screening).
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent vision (corrected vision acceptable) and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Conduct security screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo to detect prohibited items.
- Operate X-ray screening equipment and other security technology with precision.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Identify and respond to potential security threats or suspicious activities.
- Perform pat-down searches and assist passengers with special needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized screening checkpoint environment.
