Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage using advanced X-ray technology and manual search techniques
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and explosive detection procedures
- Monitor security checkpoints to detect prohibited items and potential threats
- Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing security regulations
- Operate security equipment including metal detectors, CT scanners, and trace detection systems
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate checkpoint records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass federal background check and drug screening
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ pounds
