Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using advanced X-ray and millimeter wave technology
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and explosive trace detection procedures
- Monitor checkpoints to identify potential security threats
- Operate TSA-approved equipment and follow standard operating procedures
- Communicate effectively with diverse travelers during screening processes
- Document security incidents and suspicious activities
- Maintain checkpoint efficiency while ensuring security compliance
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods (4-6 hours)
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in confined spaces
- Must complete 120-hour paid training program
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
