Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced passenger and baggage screening using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and explosive trace detection systems
- Perform thorough pat-down searches and visual inspections as required by security protocols
- Operate state-of-the-art security equipment with precision and minimal disruption to passenger flow
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Enforce TSA regulations while providing courteous customer service to diverse travelers
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during security breach protocols
- Participate in continuous training on evolving security threats and technologies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid government security clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years security screening or law enforcement experience
- Ability to obtain TSA certification within 6 weeks of hire
- Proficient in operating electronic security equipment and computer systems
- Exceptional situational awareness and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills for interacting with diverse populations
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
