Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and manual search techniques
- Identify and report prohibited items according to TSA protocols
- Maintain efficient checkpoint operations while ensuring passenger safety
- Provide exceptional customer service during security screening procedures
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
- Adhere to all TSA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Valid state-issued driver's license or government ID
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn screening technology
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
