Responsibilities
- Operate advanced imaging technology and X-ray equipment to screen passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo for prohibited items.
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and physical inspections to ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Verify travel documents and passenger identity to prevent fraud and unauthorized access.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness and demonstrate professional demeanor under pressure.
- Adhere to all TSA directives, federal regulations, and agency policies regarding security screening.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with the traveling public to explain screening procedures.
- Document findings accurately and report any suspicious activities or security breaches immediately.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a federal background investigation, including fingerprinting, drug screening, and security clearance.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and pass a medical examination.
- Language: Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) is essential.
- Availability: Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
