Responsibilities
- Operate advanced X-ray screening equipment and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo for prohibited items.
- Apply TSA security screening procedures and regulations to identify potential threats and security violations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers by answering questions, addressing concerns, and maintaining a professional demeanor under pressure.
- Respond immediately to security alerts, alarms, and emergency situations following established protocols.
- Document screening activities accurately and report anomalies to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including screening lanes and equipment.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of security professionals to ensure seamless airport operations.
Qualifications
- Must be a United States Citizen or National.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must successfully pass a federal background investigation, drug screen, and medical examination.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and pass a physical fitness assessment.
- Good vision (corrected if necessary) and the ability to distinguish colors clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
