Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray machines and other security equipment to detect prohibited items.
- Conduct pat-down searches and additional screening as required by TSA protocols.
- Monitor security checkpoints and ensure compliance with TSA regulations and procedures.
- Interact professionally with passengers, providing assistance and information during the screening process.
- Report suspicious activities or items to supervisory personnel.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to security screenings.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on security procedures and technologies.
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening.
- Valid state driver's license (if required for the position).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds occasionally.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
