Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, baggage, and cargo at airport checkpoints
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security equipment
- Identify and report suspicious items or activities to supervisory staff
- Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents and screenings
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers during screening processes
- Adhere to TSA policies, procedures, and security protocols
- Collaborate with law enforcement and other security personnel as needed
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions or disqualifying employment history
