Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and metal detectors to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct thorough physical searches of individuals and carry-on items
- Monitor security checkpoints and detect suspicious items/activities
- Enforce TSA security protocols and maintain passenger flow efficiency
- Document security incidents and prepare detailed reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement during security escalations
- Maintain professional demeanor under high-pressure situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods (6+ hours)
- Strong communication skills in English (bilingual a plus)
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- Must pass TSA Security Screening Test
