Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines and metal detectors
- Conduct thorough physical pat-downs and baggage inspections as required
- Operate advanced security technology to detect potential threats
- Enforce TSA security protocols and regulations with professionalism
- Assist travelers with screening procedures and provide excellent customer service
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergencies
Qualifications
- US citizenship or legal resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Successfully complete TSA training academy
