Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines and walk-through detectors
- Conduct physical pat-downs and baggage inspections following TSA protocols
- Verify identification documents and boarding passes against flight manifests
- Identify and report prohibited items or security threats to supervisors
- Maintain security checkpoints in compliance with federal regulations
- Provide courteous assistance to travelers with special needs
- Document security incidents and operational activities accurately
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Basic computer proficiency for checkpoint systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid driver's license (if required for position duties)
