Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and manual search techniques
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required by security protocols
- Operate advanced imaging technology and explosive detection equipment
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes for compliance with TSA regulations
- Respond to security breaches and emergencies with calm professionalism
- Maintain detailed logs of security incidents and screenings
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport staff to ensure seamless operations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or U.S. national status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license or government-issued photo ID
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficient in English (written and verbal communication)
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TSA Security Screening Credential
