Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced passenger and baggage screening using X-ray equipment and manual detection methods
- Enforce TSA security protocols with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Operate complex security technology including ETDs and trace detection systems
- Respond to security alerts and emergency situations with calm authority
- Maintain detailed documentation of security incidents and screenings
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport stakeholders
- Train on emerging security technologies and threat detection methods
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain TSA security clearance
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish preferred)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50 lbs
- Previous security, military, or customer service experience preferred
- Must complete TSA academy training program
