Responsibilities
- Enforce federal maritime security regulations at Port of Long Beach facilities
- Conduct compliance audits of shipping containers and cargo documentation
- Collaborate with CBP, Coast Guard, and port authority stakeholders
- Investigate security violations and prepare detailed incident reports
- Train port staff on updated DHS compliance protocols
- Monitor emerging threats and recommend policy adjustments
- Maintain secure digital records of all compliance activities
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and active security clearance (or ability to obtain one)
- Bachelor's degree in Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in federal regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in maritime security regulations (CFR, MARPOL, ISPS)
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex regulations
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Spanish language proficiency preferred
