Responsibilities
- Manage departmental records, databases, and confidential documentation with precision
- Coordinate public-facing inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Prepare official reports, correspondence, and presentations for executive leadership
- Assist in grant application processes and compliance documentation
- Serve as liaison between departments and external stakeholders
- Implement digital filing systems and process improvements
- Support emergency response coordination during critical incidents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 2 years experience in government or public sector administration
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and government reporting software
- Valid Tennessee driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to obtain security clearance within 30 days
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Experience with Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) procedures
- Knowledge of Tennessee state regulations and local ordinances
