Responsibilities
- Develop and implement municipal policies aligned with Jacksonville's strategic vision
- Manage departmental budgets exceeding $5M with fiscal accountability
- Oversee public program execution and community engagement initiatives
- Lead cross-functional teams in crisis response and disaster management
- Analyze legislative impacts and recommend regulatory adjustments
- Collaborate with federal/state agencies on grant-funded projects
- Prepare comprehensive reports for City Council and public hearings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years government/municipal management experience
- Valid Florida Driver's License and clean driving record
- Proficiency in municipal software (SAP, Oracle Public Sector)
- Familiarity with Florida Sunshine Law and open records requirements
- Certification in Public Administration (CPM or MPA preferred)
- Demonstrated crisis management and community outreach expertise
- US citizenship and ability to pass federal background clearance
