Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor statewide public service programs aligned with state policies
- Manage multi-million dollar budgets and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Lead cross-functional teams of 10+ professionals across agency departments
- Analyze program performance metrics and prepare quarterly executive reports
- Collaborate with legislative bodies to advocate for program funding and policy changes
- Oversee vendor contracts and ensure service delivery meets quality standards
- Conduct community outreach to assess program effectiveness and stakeholder needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of government program management experience in Illinois
- Proven expertise in federal grant management and compliance reporting
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Tableau, or Power BI)
- Illinois state residency required at time of hire
- Valid Illinois driver's license with clean record
- Strong knowledge of Illinois state procurement processes
- Experience managing teams in unionized environments
