Responsibilities
- Inspect cargo, vehicles, and travelers to enforce customs, immigration, and agricultural laws
- Conduct criminal investigations and interdiction operations at seaport facilities
- Utilize advanced detection technology and surveillance systems to identify security threats
- Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate case documentation
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies
- Respond to emergency situations and security breaches with tactical precision
- Provide testimony in legal proceedings and court hearings
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- Completion of CBP Academy training program (paid)
- Minimum 3 years law enforcement or military experience preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance
- Proficiency in Spanish or other foreign language highly desirable
- Pass comprehensive background check, drug screening, and physical fitness test
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Experience with cargo inspection and X-ray operation preferred
