Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal networks.
- Implement and manage security protocols in accordance with NIST and FISMA standards.
- Monitor system activity for suspicious behavior and respond to security incidents.
- Support the preparation of security documentation and audit reports for federal oversight bodies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into software development.
- Maintain and update the Security Operations Center (SOC) dashboards and logs.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret (TS) or Secret clearance (must be willing to obtain TS).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal or DoD IT environments.
- Strong knowledge of network security concepts, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners (e.g., Nessus, Qualys).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP preferred.
