Responsibilities
- Administer and manage the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and Thrift Savings Plans (TSP) for employees.
- Analyze pension data and prepare accurate reports for federal oversight bodies and internal audits.
- Conduct comprehensive benefits orientations to educate employees on pension eligibility and vesting schedules.
- Resolve complex pension and retirement-related inquiries with high-level customer service.
- Ensure strict compliance with ERISA, OPM guidelines, and state-specific pension laws.
- Collaborate with the finance team to forecast pension liabilities and funding requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, or Public Administration preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in federal benefits administration or pension plan management.
- Strong working knowledge of FERS, TSP, and federal retirement regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HRIS software (e.g., Workday, ADP).
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (if required).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
