Responsibilities
- Calculate and process federal pension benefits with 100% accuracy for retiring employees.
- Conduct thorough reviews of employee service records to determine eligibility for various federal retirement plans (FERS, CSRS).
- Provide expert guidance and consultation to federal employees regarding their pension entitlements and retirement options.
- Ensure strict compliance with all federal regulations, OPM guidelines, and internal audit requirements.
- Collaborate with the HR department to streamline the onboarding and retirement transition process.
- Prepare and present complex data reports to senior management regarding pension liabilities and fund status.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in federal benefits administration or pension plan management.
- Deep knowledge of the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legislation and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
- Must be a US Citizen and able to pass a federal background check.
