Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume incoming communications, including emails, phone calls, and visitor inquiries, with professionalism and efficiency.
- Prepare, compile, and edit various government documents, reports, and correspondence for department heads.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date digital and physical filing systems in compliance with city regulations.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and departmental events.
- Assist the public with navigating city services and processing necessary forms accurately.
- Perform data entry and database management tasks to support departmental analytics.
- Assist in the procurement of office supplies and equipment as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Public Administration or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably within a government or public sector setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and government-specific software.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
