Responsibilities
- Process and Review: Accurately process and review incoming applications, permits, and government documents for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Public Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for citizens and city officials, providing clear information regarding city services and procedural requirements.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records, databases, and filing systems to ensure efficient departmental operations and data security.
- Policy Implementation: Assist in the implementation of new city policies, ensuring they are communicated effectively to staff and the public.
- Report Generation: Prepare and compile statistical reports, summaries, and correspondence for department heads and city management.
- Community Outreach: Support community engagement initiatives and city events by coordinating logistics and volunteer efforts.
Qualifications
- Eligibility: U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory; an Associate’s degree in Public Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in public administration, customer service, or a similar administrative role.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex government information into clear, understandable language.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with government database software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Background Check: Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Transportation: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are preferred.
