Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce federal/state/local government regulations across public works projects
- Conduct compliance audits and prepare detailed inspection reports
- Collaborate with city departments to resolve regulatory violations
- Develop and implement compliance training programs for staff
- Maintain accurate regulatory documentation and databases
- Represent the city in compliance-related hearings and negotiations
- Stay updated on evolving environmental and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Environmental Science, or related field
- 3+ years of government compliance/regulatory experience
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean record
- Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) preferred
- Proficiency in regulatory software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in high-pressure environments
