Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce compliance with federal/state/local regulations (e.g., ADA, OSHA, EPA)
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments across city departments
- Develop and implement compliance training programs for 200+ employees
- Prepare detailed regulatory reports for city council and state agencies
- Collaborate with legal counsel to address compliance violations
- Update city policies to align with evolving regulatory requirements
- Lead cross-departmental compliance task forces
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Law, or related field
- 3+ years of government compliance/regulatory experience
- Strong knowledge of Kansas state and federal regulations
- Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in regulatory reporting software (e.g., ComplyAssistant)
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority deadlines
- U.S. citizenship and clean background check required
