Responsibilities
- Network & Systems Management: Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the county's internal network infrastructure and server systems.
- Security Compliance: Implement and monitor strict cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data from breaches.
- Troubleshooting Support: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and connectivity issues for department staff and the public.
- Project Coordination: Assist in the deployment of new software applications and the migration of legacy systems.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation, including system configurations and incident reports.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met for hardware and software maintenance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a related technical role.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic scripting (PowerShell/Batch).
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical government personnel.
