Job Overview
As an IT Support Specialist, you will provide Tier 2 technical assistance to county employees, ensuring our digital infrastructure runs smoothly and securely. You will be the first line of defense for technical issues and a key player in maintaining our mission-critical systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and Active Directory services.
- Perform regular system maintenance, patch management, and security updates.
- Document technical issues and resolutions in the IT Service Desk system.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve complex hardware problems and procurement.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in IT support or help desk roles.
- Certification: CompTIA A+ or Network+ is highly desirable.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
