Responsibilities
- Analyze complex legislative proposals and regulatory impacts for city council and mayoral office
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research on public policy effectiveness and social equity outcomes
- Develop actionable policy recommendations using data-driven methodologies
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to implement municipal initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for government stakeholders
- Monitor federal/state policy changes affecting Philadelphia residents
- Manage public engagement processes for community feedback on policy initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Urban Planning, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of government/public sector policy analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Demonstrated success in crafting evidence-based policy recommendations
- Strong understanding of Philadelphia's government structure and community needs
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects under tight deadlines
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance
