Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the City's core IT infrastructure and software systems to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Analyze complex data requirements and implement solutions that improve government service delivery.
- Ensure strict compliance with state and federal regulations regarding data privacy and cybersecurity.
- Collaborate with various city departments to identify technical needs and streamline operational workflows.
- Diagnose and resolve critical system failures or security breaches with minimal downtime.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance reviews to optimize efficiency.
- Provide technical support and training to government staff and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT analysis, system administration, or a similar government role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and database management systems (Oracle, SQL Server).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced public sector environment.
- Valid California Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle for site travel.
