Role Overview
As a Government Operations Specialist, you will ensure the continuity of essential services during off-hours. This position requires a dedicated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Process and review incoming government documentation and public records with high accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to residents visiting the office on weekends.
- Perform data entry and maintain updated electronic and physical records in compliance with state regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of weekly reports and compliance audits for state auditors.
- Coordinate with permanent staff to ensure weekend operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Answer inquiries regarding local government policies, procedures, and public services.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and security standards for sensitive government information.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Previous experience in public administration or government services is highly preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Valid Illinois driver's license is a plus.
