Responsibilities
- Design and execute public health intervention programs targeting at-risk populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and trends
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for disease outbreaks and health crises
- Develop educational materials and conduct community workshops on preventive health measures
- Collaborate with local healthcare providers to improve access to underserved communities
- Monitor program effectiveness and prepare compliance reports for state regulators
- Represent the department in public forums and stakeholder meetings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government or non-profit public health roles
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Experience with grant writing and program budget management
- Strong bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish preferred)
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
