Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure for state agencies in the LA region.
- Conduct system audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for complex software and hardware environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative digital solutions for citizens.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee IT project lifecycles from inception to completion.
- Train and mentor junior staff members on best practices and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration or software development within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and cybersecurity protocols is required.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, or Java programming languages.
- Valid California Driver’s License and willingness to travel between state facilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
