Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of IT projects, from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with strategic city goals.
- Manage budgets, resources, and timelines to deliver projects on schedule and within scope.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, government agencies, and vendors to ensure clear communication and collaboration.
- Identify and mitigate risks, proactively resolving issues to prevent project delays.
- Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, including status reports, risk assessments, and technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding public sector IT projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within the public sector or government.
- Professional Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
- Strong proficiency in Agile and Scrum methodologies, with hands-on experience using JIRA or MS Project.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams and navigating complex stakeholder landscapes.
