Responsibilities
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement within state agencies.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using SQL, Tableau, or PowerBI to support executive decision-making.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data integrity across multiple state systems and databases.
- Conduct quality assurance testing on data models and validation scripts to meet compliance standards.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation and presentations for stakeholders and legislative bodies.
- Assist in the migration of legacy systems to modern cloud-based infrastructure.
- Provide training and support to non-technical staff on data interpretation and reporting tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related state government role.
- Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server) and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker).
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex findings to diverse audiences.
- Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodologies in a government contracting environment.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and a satisfactory background check.
