Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light machinery (e.g., mowers, trimmers, dump trucks) safely and efficiently
- Manage public park maintenance including landscaping, irrigation, and facility upkeep
- Respond to emergency weather events (floods, storms) for infrastructure repairs
- Conduct daily safety inspections of municipal equipment and work sites
- Collaborate with engineering teams for infrastructure improvement projects
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in municipal maintenance or construction
- OSHA 10-hour certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and hand tools safely
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of city infrastructure systems and maintenance protocols
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
