Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting vulnerable populations
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for disease outbreaks and natural disasters
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify health trends and inform policy decisions
- Collaborate with federal/state/local agencies on health initiatives and grant compliance
- Lead community outreach and education campaigns on preventive health measures
- Conduct health impact assessments for proposed legislation and urban development projects
- Manage grant budgets and reporting for federal/state-funded health programs
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government or non-profit public health roles
- Valid Louisiana Public Health Practitioner certification
- Proficiency in epidemiological software (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS)
- Demonstrated experience with federal grant management (CDC, HRSA)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, CLIA, and other healthcare regulations
- Exceptional written communication skills for policy briefs and grant proposals
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred
