The City of Phoenix is urgently seeking dedicated Public Safety Officers to join our emergency response team. This critical role requires immediate deployment to safeguard our community during heightened security initiatives. Responsibilities
- Enforce municipal ordinances and state laws within designated Phoenix precincts
- Respond to emergency calls including public disturbances, medical crises, and traffic incidents
- Document incident reports using digital evidence management systems
- Conduct community outreach programs to build public trust and awareness
- Collaborate with fire departments, EMS, and other city agencies during joint operations
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Participate in continuous skills training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Valid Arizona Peace Officer certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Minimum 2 years public safety or military experience
- CPR/First Aid certification and AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Pass comprehensive background check and physical fitness assessment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and incident reporting software
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean record
