Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of local, state, and federal government policies to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, briefings, and presentations for executive stakeholders and legislative bodies.
- Facilitate communication between government agencies, non-profits, and community stakeholders to ensure alignment on public projects.
- Monitor compliance requirements and ensure all agency operations adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
- Manage project timelines and budgets for government contracts and initiatives.
- Represent the organization at public meetings, hearings, and community events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Law, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in government relations, public policy, or administrative management.
- Deep understanding of Michigan state government structure and local municipal processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and government-specific database systems.
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and pass a background check.
