Responsibilities
- Sort, process, and distribute mail and packages efficiently using automated and manual systems
- Load/unload postal vehicles and manage inventory of mail supplies
- Deliver mail and packages along designated routes using safe driving practices
- Collect outgoing mail from designated collection boxes and customer locations
- Operate mail processing equipment and maintain accurate delivery records
- Provide courteous customer service when assisting with mail inquiries
- Adhere to strict USPS safety protocols and security procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn USPS systems
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
