Responsibilities
- Operate heavy construction equipment such as rollers, backhoes, and skid steers under supervision.
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and grading of roads and sidewalks.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of city infrastructure, including storm drains and curbs.
- Ensure all work sites adhere to OSHA safety regulations and local government ordinances.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and debris from trucks and work sites.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of work areas to ensure a safe environment.
- Interact with the public and respond to inquiries regarding construction activities in a professional manner.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus, but not mandatory as we provide training.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
