Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily administrative operations and office procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with state regulations.
- Analyze complex data and prepare detailed reports for state officials to support decision-making processes.
- Coordinate inter-departmental projects, serving as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and external partners.
- Maintain and update accurate records and filing systems, ensuring strict adherence to confidentiality and data integrity standards.
- Conduct research on legislative policies and provide briefings to the management team regarding relevant regulatory changes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at improving public service delivery.
- Handle high-volume inquiries from the public via phone, email, and in-person, providing exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Proven experience working in a government, public sector, or corporate administrative role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with database management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex information for diverse audiences.
- Deep understanding of Texas state government operations and regulatory frameworks is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to strict deadlines.
