Responsibilities
- Operate advanced X-ray and CT scanners to screen carry-on and checked baggage
- Conduct physical pat-downs and metal detector screenings per TSA protocols
- Manage security checkpoint operations during peak travel hours
- Respond to security incidents with calm professionalism and procedural accuracy
- Train new screeners on TSA security standards and equipment
- Document security activities in compliance with federal reporting requirements
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50 lbs
- Basic computer skills for security systems
