Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security technologies
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and explosive detection procedures
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to potential threats with swift action
- Enforce TSA security protocols while maintaining courteous passenger interactions
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Operate advanced screening equipment and interpret results for compliance
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid Social Security Number
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ lbs
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn security systems
- Must pass TSA pre-employment assessment
