Responsibilities
- Deliver Mail & Packages: Safely and efficiently deliver a prescribed route of mail and packages to residential and business customers in a timely manner.
- Sort & Organize: Collect and process mail from collection boxes and routes, ensuring accurate sorting before delivery.
- Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with the public, answer inquiries regarding mail delivery, and resolve issues with courtesy and efficiency.
- Physical Stamina: Perform physical activities such as walking, standing, lifting packages weighing up to 70 lbs, and bending for extended periods.
- Vehicle Safety: Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the assigned vehicle or equipment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of delivery attempts and receipts as required by postal regulations.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or a non-citizen authorized to work in the United States.
- Driver's License: Possession of a valid, current state driver's license is required.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal history background check and a drug screening.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, carry, and push packages weighing up to 70 lbs on a regular basis.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with diverse customers.
