As a City Carrier, you'll deliver mail and packages directly to homes and businesses across Denver's vibrant neighborhoods. Responsibilities
- Sort, organize, and deliver mail/packages accurately according to established routes and schedules
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and maintain proper vehicle maintenance documentation
- Collect and process postage payments, handle registered/insured items, and complete delivery receipts
- Perform daily route adjustments for new addresses, forwarding requests, and special deliveries
- Operate scanning devices to track deliveries and report delivery exceptions
- Assist with loading/unloading operations at postal facilities and maintain equipment cleanliness
- Adhere to all USPS safety regulations and weather-related delivery protocols
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent resident status with valid work authorization
- Valid state driver's license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Pass pre-employment physical exam and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for operating scanning devices and route management systems
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and adapt to changing delivery demands
- Pass background check including criminal history review
