Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages safely and efficiently along assigned routes
- Sort, sequence, and organize mail according to delivery standards
- Operate delivery vehicles safely and adhere to traffic laws
- Collect postage and fees when required for special services
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report irregularities
- Provide excellent customer service at delivery points
- Safely handle and transport mail in all weather conditions
- Follow USPS safety protocols and procedures at all times
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent resident status
- Valid state driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly
- Physical stamina to walk routes in varying weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for tracking systems
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods (6+ hours daily)
