Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and business addresses along an assigned route.
- Sort and organize mail according to delivery sequence and time of day.
- Load and unload mail from delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Operate delivery vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and USPS regulations.
- Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner to resolve inquiries and issues.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and report any discrepancies or problems.
- Adhere to all USPS policies and procedures regarding mail handling and delivery.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid state driver's license and a good driving record.
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy items (up to 70 pounds) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Must be able to walk long distances and stand for extended periods.
- Must have the ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required.
