Responsibilities
- Sort, prepare, and deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses along assigned routes
- Operate mail delivery vehicles safely and maintain accurate delivery records
- Collect outgoing mail and parcels from designated collection boxes
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve delivery inquiries promptly
- Adhere to USPS safety regulations and maintain route efficiency standards
- Operate delivery scanners and mobile technology for tracking and documentation
- Report mail irregularities and suspicious activities to supervisors
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent resident status (required)
- Valid California driver's license with clean record (mandatory)
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and carry mail trays weighing 35+ lbs
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Basic computer literacy for operating USPS technology systems
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
